Choose and manage your workspace
Select the intended organization and distinguish shared settings from your personal preferences.
Each organization has its own connected data, team access, settings and billing. Check the workspace name before editing shared controls or starting a billing action.
Switch organizations
- Open the workspace name at the top of the application sidebar.
- Select the organization you want to work in.
- After the application reloads, confirm the workspace name before continuing.
- Reopen the task or settings page you need in that organization.
Save work before switching. An editor with unsaved work may ask you to discard it before the switch proceeds. You can only switch to organizations available to your account; access can differ between them.
Some settings pages carry an organization in their link. A bookmarked or shared settings link can therefore open a specific organization. For a billing change, switch to the intended workspace and reopen Billing from Settings rather than an old bookmark. Confirm the organization again inside checkout or the portal. Keep the organization parameter on links generated by the application rather than editing it to reach another organization's data.
Review your memberships
Select Settings → Workspace → Organizations. Your Organizations lists the organizations tied to your account, their status and Your Roles. The selected organization has a Current badge.
You can read this membership list without organization-update permission. An unfinished draft may offer Complete Setup. Team invitations and role changes belong in Manage your team.
Set the organization timezone
- Select the intended workspace, then open Workspace → Organizations.
- Find Organization Timezone.
- Choose the timezone and select Save changes when offered.
- Wait for the Organization timezone updated confirmation.
Changing the timezone requires update organization
(organization.update) access. Readers can see the setting while its editing
controls remain unavailable. Scheduled digests use this timezone. Planning
Center can seed the initial value; changes made here remain authoritative in Parable.
If the setting fails to load, do not infer a timezone from a blank control. If saving fails, confirm the stored value before relying on the new schedule context.
Set the fiscal-year preference
On the same page, choose Fiscal year starts, then select Save fiscal year when offered. This also requires update-organization access.
The page previews the fiscal-year range for a non-January start. This setting does not change report results yet; saved calendar-year reports keep their dates.
Find other shared controls
The Workspace settings section shows the controls your access permits:
| Task | Where to go |
|---|---|
| Invite members or change access | Team. |
| Review shared assistant usage | Ask Parable → Usage. Personal assistant preferences are in the Personal section. |
| Review plans, usage or invoices | Plans and Billing. |
| Connect or recover a source | Apps. See Connect your integrations. |
| Check an import | Sync shows integration status and offers Sync all integrations to authorized managers. Open an integration for its detailed activity. |
| Set up an external database connection | Database access, subject to separate credential eligibility. |
| Understand engagement configuration | Engagement scoring. |
Calculation changes on the Organizations page records published corrections to the organization's numbers when you have data-view access. An empty list means no corrections have been published there; a load or permission error is not proof that the list is empty.
Settings Sync also contains a Planning Center validation pointer. Use
Open settings to reach the installed integration's settings, where
Validate imports, Drift tolerance and the stop-on-error controls live.
Changing a tolerance saves a validation preference; it does not request a sync.
Reading validation settings requires data access. Changing them requires
manage-integrations (integrations.manage) access.
For an unavailable page or action, ask your team administrator to review access in the intended organization. See Access, roles and giving permissions.
