Manage personal settings

Open Settings and use the Personal section for your own preferences. These preferences belong to your account, while the controls you can see may depend on access in the selected organization. Shared organization controls live under Workspace; see Choose and manage your workspace.

Update your nameCopy Anchor Link

1. Select Personal → General.
2. Edit First name and Last name.
3. Select Save in the Unsaved changes bar, or Discard to undo your edits.
4. Wait for the save to finish before leaving the page.

These fields change your account profile, including the name your team sees. Email is read-only here and is managed by your authentication provider.

If your profile cannot load, return to the page after restoring your session. Do not treat a failed save as a completed name change.

1. Select Personal → Notifications.
2. Choose the preferences available to you:
   • Email me product updates controls product-update email.
   • Send the weekly digest, when available, controls the email summary.
   • Budget alerts, when available, controls Ask Parable budget alert email.
   • The Email and App columns choose channels for Sync alerts, Report delivery, and Care follow-up alerts when those rows are available.
3. If Weekly Digest Sections is available, choose the highlights you want.
4. Select Save in the Unsaved changes bar. Use Discard to abandon edits.

App notifications reach your phone as they roll out to the Parable app; selecting App is not a promise that every event is already delivered on every device. The weekly digest and budget alerts are email-only.

Some preferences depend on access in the selected organization. Both the weekly digest toggle and its sections require data access. Budget alerts appear with manage-billing access; giving highlights remain restricted by your giving level. Care follow-up controls depend on Connections access. Turning off care follow-up alerts does not suppress escalation notices to care leaders.

Turning off the weekly digest disables its section controls without erasing saved section choices. Those choices apply if you enable the digest again. For access questions, see Access, roles and giving permissions.

If notification settings cannot load or save, keep the change unconfirmed until the page reports a successful save. A channel preference does not grant access to the underlying report or giving information.

Choose advertising measurementCopy Anchor Link

1. Select Personal → Privacy.
2. Set Allow advertising conversion measurement to your preference.
3. Wait for Privacy preference saved. This toggle saves directly; there is no separate Save step.

This account-level preference follows you across devices. When disabled, Parable does not send your trial or subscription conversion events to Meta. It does not change your organization's billing plan.

The control is unavailable while impersonating a user. If the preference cannot load or its save fails, return to the page and confirm its saved state before assuming the change took effect.

Personal → Ask Parable contains your assistant preferences. Shared usage and organization configuration are under Workspace → Ask Parable. Choose the appropriate section before changing a preference for yourself or reviewing your organization's usage.
